The project is a simple unobtrusive five-story ochre sandstone building, with a core to the back against the blind party wall, allowing good light and air from the remaining three facades. Shaped as a cube, it picks up the street’s existing built-up lines in an attempt to harmonize with the old urban fabric while anchoring itself solidly in the site.
The ground floor houses a main lobby with a clear height of 5.50 m. The next three levels were leased by a law firm of about 40 people, with a need for partitioned offices and multiple meeting rooms, library, informal spaces, etc.
A central atrium with sculptural stainless steel open staircase allows natural daylight in the building all the way into the circulation core located at its back and links all the office floors together seamlessly. Glazed meeting rooms and waiting areas are distributed on the aisles of the staircase over the three floors.
The law firm’s interior embodies a refined balance of professionalism and permanence. A double-height reception space establishes a commanding first impression, where natural stone walls, dark timber ceilings, and polished stone flooring create an atmosphere of quiet confidence. Floor-to-ceiling glazing floods the interior with daylight, while warm concealed lighting softens the monumental scale and enhances the richness of the material palette. The minimalist reception desk, crafted in dark wood with a pristine stone countertop, reinforces a sense of precision and order. A dramatic backlit onyx feature wall serves as a focal point, introducing warmth and elegance without compromising restraint. Throughout the office, brushed stainless steel detailing, glass partitions, and open staircases express transparency and modernity, while maintaining a distinguished corporate identity. The composition of natural materials, clean lines, and carefully curated lighting reflects the firm's commitment to integrity, sophistication, and excellence, creating an environment that is both welcoming and enduring for clients and professionals alike.
