Within Dubai’s rapidly evolving architectural landscape, four exclusive villas line the edge of the Tilal Al Ghaf Lagoon, offering private access to its crystalline water and a neighboring beach club. Through material application and architectonic strategies, the villas achieve a sense of rootedness in their context—a key design feature.
This rootedness is evident at the entrance, where a series of massive walls finished with hammered stone establish the main lines of the parti, individually defining each villa. The walls appear to slide past one another, creating a dynamic, playful rhythm, while they interact through an interplay of glass and protective screens.
Each villa is designed to have its own private garden, outdoor patio, and pool. An inner courtyard serves as the focal point, functioning as a sheltered outdoor area. Around it, a balanced arrangement of formal and family living spaces unfolds, bringing nature into the comfort of the home.
Purposefully grounded within the natural topography to remain minimally intrusive to the landscape, the single-floor villas are characterized by their open floor plans and free-flowing, connected spaces. Atop each villa lies a concealed roof terrace, acting as an extension of the private garden and accessed via a staircase hidden within one of the prominent stone walls, offering higher views of the lagoon.
