saifi square
bcd, lebanon
2005

The project is located at the edge of the Beirut Central District within walking distance from its main business center, several shopping areas, and educational institutions. The challenge was to create an envelope that absorbs the dual character of the site: the dynamic highway movement along its outer edges, and the calm Saifi Village setting on the inner. It sits on two adjacent plots and is composed of four buildings crossed by public passages running through gardens connecting these two environments.
